We strongly believe that one of the ways to maintain our growth as a Church is to empower our youth, train them, prepare them to take
up leadership in the church and challenge them to serve their community. We want the next generation of youth in the King's House
to step into leadership, bring on-board their energy, vision, vibrancy and innovation. We want them ready to reach their peers with
the gospel too.
The five steps below are how we plan to achieve this:
REACH - We will reach out to the youth in a way that is relevant
to them. We will engage them at their level with the gospel, but in a way that deals with their needs. The colleges, schools and workplace
are ready for the gospel, but we will only reach them if we empower our youth to go on our behalf.
RETAIN - We will encourage our youth
to develop a sense of ownership of the vision and proactively play their part or contribute to the growth of our Church. We know that
partners who buy into the vision of the ministry will be retained. We will retain our youth by helping them see that they have an
important part to play in the House of God.
REPRODUCE - Jesus has commissioned us to make disciples not decisions; to be fruitful and not just faithful. We desire to see our
young people's lives changed into the likeness of Christ as they may be the only bibles the world would ever read. The youth will
only reproduce the lifestyles that they see, therefore our duty is to live the word and represent Jesus to a lost and dying world
and disciple our youth to do the same.
RAISE - All our youth are potential leaders in the making. Our desire is to give them the opportunity
and groom them for leadership. We must encourage them to discover their talents and gifts in the Church. This can only be good for
them as they will get corrective coaching and teaching to maximise their potentials. In our youth ministry, we seek to create a leadership
culture where people are mentored and mobilized to serve their peers and their parents.
RELEASE - We also believe that once our youth
are ready, we should release them into their calling and destiny. Therefore, we are envisioning our youth ministry to be a launching
pad where young people are trained and equipped to serve in different ministries and even in different nations!
